Small Yet Mighty Schemes Shortlisted for Awards
09/05/24This year is already proving a successful time for the 21 Living team and our partners. We are delighted that three of our recently completed schemes in the North West region have been shortlisted for awards.
Following our apartment conversion at The Rock, Bury, being shortlisted at the Housing Design Awards 2024, both our Rochdale and Sale apartment schemes have gone on to be shortlisted at Cowgill’s North West Homebuilder Awards in the ‘Supported Living Project of the Year’ and ‘Smaller Apartment Scheme of the Year’ categories. We are thrilled to receive this industry recognition for our portfolio.
Our Radcliffe property was converted from a day nursery to six 550-600 sq ft, self-contained apartments, for the purpose of supported living. The scheme will be used as a step-down facility for young adults, helping them integrate into society.
It was a strategic and successful collaboration with like-minded partners, including Bury Council, to bring forward much-needed supported living accommodation to the area.
Luke Powell, managing director, said: “It’s true testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team involved. We are thrilled to be recognised alongside the region’s best residential developers.”
Our luxury apartment scheme at Northenden Road, Sale has also been shortlisted for ‘Smaller Apartment Scheme of the Year’, which represents the design and quality finish that can be achieved for niche or boutique style residential opportunities.
At the property, we maximised the opportunity to renovate the Edwardian period building, originally a bank, to create a charming small collection of apartments and ground floor commercial (co-working space) units, that would meet the high market demand for high-quality homes.
The £2.1m GDV residential-led scheme presents eight premium-quality apartments on the first, second and third (top) floors of the building, consisting six 1-bedroom apartments, two duplex apartments, with two private car parking spaces available (with electric vehicle charging), bike storage, and a vibrant urban garden.
Luke continued: “Our team is well-experienced and well-connected to identify these types of strategic residential sites, and to maximise values of the properties as well as benefitting our towns and city centre suburbs’ growth.
“We are excited to celebrate the region’s top residential talent at the upcoming awards ceremonies.”
