QS joins team for 21 Living’s largest project to date
30/06/25The team is expanding at 21 Living and we are delighted to welcome Sam Dickenson, who joins us as a Project QS, ready to jump straight into our Q3 development, Underbank Lofts, at St Petersgate in Stockport town centre.
Sam joins from reputed NW firm, RussellWBHO, bringing significant commercial and residential experience in project quantity surveying. He spent the last nine years working there, with clients including Property Alliance Group on its Manchester city centre residential tower, Axis, CareUK’s Wilmslow care home, Derwent and Lineage.
Recruited to support Josh Stones at our upcoming £5m GDV residential development, Underbank Lofts, Sam brings a wealth of experience in supply chain procurement and costing for major projects, and will help increase 21 Living’s subcontractor portfolio in his new role.
Upon imminent planning consent being granted, Underbank Lofts will commence on site immediately to bring forward 25 apartments. Sam will be responsible for manging tenders and engaging subcontractors to the project, which will involve considerate reconstruction of the historical building, to ensure materials are sympathetic to the surroundings and original building. Strip out and internal structural demolition will be the first task, and installing replica windows to the original style.
Sam spoke about the project, and his new role at 21 Living. He said: “It will be great to dive straight into a significant project with 21 Living, to use my experience to ensure the delivery programme runs efficiently and within budget. Joining the team brings a new opportunity for me to be hands on with all aspects of the build project, to share my skills learnt at a larger firm, and to be part of an ambitious regional development company.”
Josh Stones added: “I have worked with Sam and know his expertise will bring a lot of consistency and efficiency to this project. It was important for us to find the right QS to help us with the largest project in our portfolio to date, and to deliver this redevelopment to a high standard. We are pleased to have Sam on board and look forward to bringing Underbank Lofts to life.”
