Keys handed over at award-winning Sale apartment scheme
01/10/24Sale in Greater Manchester is fast-becoming a hotspot for suburban living, and our newly completed Southbank development has just taken its residential offering up a notch.
Completing just last week, the property which fronts Northenden Road is a boutique Victorian redevelopment, providing just eight apartments above a ground floor commercial space (opening as a hairdressers).
Two happy owner/occupiers and two buy-to-rent purchasers, one overseas buyer and three UK-based buyers have taken over the keys to their apartments, having been part of the construction journey with us and our exit partners, BuyAssociation.
It’s not surprising the development won ‘Best Smaller apartment Scheme’ at this year’s Homebuilder awards. Both BuyAssociation and the homeowners commented on the successful delivery programme and personal service.
Katie Walker, Group Commercial Director, BuyAssociation, said: “21 Living have entered the residential market with ambition and attention to detail. They understand the market, hot spot locations and customer demand, and they have brought forward a unique offering in Sale that stands out from its alternatives.
“What’s more, they have delivered to the exact vision they first presented. The attention to detail of period features and maximising the living spaces has come to life. The team were great to work with and we are delighted to have eight new property owners.”
Sale was earmarked by 21 Living for residential development, owing to several factors:
- Sale provides great transport to and from key cities and towns in the region and has excellent road network access
- A wealth of new amenities – Sale offers a great range of cafes, bars, restaurants and independent shops, whilst being on the doorstep to national parks and outdoor activities.
- More bang for your buck – many residents are being out-priced in the centre of Manchester when buying or renting apartments, with increasing numbers of people seeking more for their money in commuter towns and suburbs. The likes of Sale provides characterful and larger living space for the same value or less.
One Southbank owner, Henry, has moved into the duplex apartment this week. He explained why he looked outside of the city centre to buy his first owned property. He said: “Rental prices are consistently increasing in city centres, and in order to own my own home I knew I had to look further afield.
